Evaluation and Citations.

Self- Evaluation

What challenges did you encounter when creating your product?
Some challenges i faced was getting my flash animation to work on my actuall webpage. When i uploaded it it just showed me a small message saying to upgrade to the newer version of adobe. But i never really knew if it were to work on the actual live view of my webpage.
How did you cope with these challenges?
I couldnt really do anything about it. At the end i had post my snapshot of my project and decided to make a small description next to the image about what the animation was supposed to do.
What went particularly well in creating your product?
What i think went particulary great on my portfolio was makking the links to the other pages & keeping my webpage neat and orginized. You teached me how to make links and before this you taught me how i could keep my folders nice and orginized in place. Because of this, i was able to locate my folders easier and it made it easier to find my stuff and make links. IT WAS LIKE A DOUBLE WIN!
If you were to redo the project from the very beginning, what would you do different?
If i were to redo my project the only thing i would change is my background and the font colors. Because the background is ccomposed of many bright colors i was unable  to find a font  color that would match the back ground, even if i made my letters in bold it didn't help. So, because of it i would change the color to make it a single color or a color that could be combined with other different colors.
What is something you can take from this project that can aid you after its completion?
I think something that will aid me in future completions is the mini lesson of how to make links. I learned that it is really easy but if you move your files everything can get messed up. Also that really long speech you gave me about keeping all my files orginized before i start on my webpage.

SELF EVALUATION:
What challenges did you encounter when creating your product?
When i was creating this project i had alot of problems with my computer in the soft wear. On the illustrator softwear my project wouldnt save and when ever i tried to save it my computer would freeze and i had to restart the whole computer.
How did you cope with these challenges?
i had to ask the teacher for help every minute this happened. i also tried to restart the whole think that way it could have a fress start. But none of this worked it just made it worse.
What went particularly well in creating your product?
What i think went particulary well in this projects was that i had remembered every single skill on illustrator. I finally found out how to make a gradient on my images.I even learned new stuff i never knew how to do.
If you were to redo the project from the very beginning, what would you do different?
i wouldv'e liked to have a whole new computer or something i couldve finished my project with better.
What is something you can take from this project that can aid you after its completion?
i think the matter of using my time wisely and paying attention to what im doing.

Specific design

Specific design:

-a poster made on illustrator
- the image is scalable but i made it specifically as a "9x11"in.
- cannot be too small due to the thickness of some lines. (then they wont be very visible)
-should make the viewer reflect over their lives with technology devices and realize that it is true.
-the lines on the page of the image should be equally distributed within that part of the image.
-the notebook must have a red and raspberry color gradient at a 90 degrees linear.
-on the left side left side of the notebook the flap should be solid black and must have good words of motivation.
-There must be signs and keywords of the word technology devices
- must be made in separate layers and at the end joined together into one layer.
-the back ground must be a mixture of light green and a dark green gradient at an angle of 45 degrees.
- the whole image should not cover the whole page, some of the background color must be visible.

problem summary...

Problem
Students get distracted from their homework by different kind of electronic devices and never really succeed for a good grade in that exact assignment. I will design a kind of notebook/ binder with reflecting grades and a hidden message (advice). I will be using Adobe Illustrator for the creations of my design. I will demonstrate this idea by illustrating a sheet of paper in my design that will show the results of homework grades of 3 days; one bad grade, a mid-okay grade and the final good grade. This will make one reflect and notice how being distracted every single minute by your electronic device can impact your grades in school and your success in life.

Flash Project

SELF-EVALUATION:
What challenges did you encounter when creating your product?
WELL! ON THIS PROJECT, i did encounter many problems with my character. When ever i wanted to put a leg on my walking cycle my copied copy of my leg would also change my position and it kept messing it up. Another problem that i had was being able to keep up with the outlines of the shapes, they kept erasing.
How did you cope with these challenges?
I actually discovered how to make each of my copied legs an individual leg for each scene. It did took a while but i managed to  get it. I was supposed to go to the top and press break apart once you have made that leg another individual symbol. I didnt really figure out how to keep up with my shape outlines but they werent as important.
What went particularly well in creating your product?
I can say that creating the character was something that went particularly well in this project because i had planed it before time. I also had a little bit of knowledge in knowing how to work with shapes to create a human cartoon.
If you were to redo the project from the very beginning, what would you do different?
I think if i were to redo this project i would probably watch out for my shape out line and this time actually try to do it carefully witih no mistakes.
What is something you can take from this project that can aid you after its completion?
I think i have learned so much compared to the knowledge i knew at the beggining of starting the whole flash project. NOW LOOK! Iknow how to make start and stop buttons(:

six weeks short reflection

Six weeks short reflection:

This semester is a third of the way through now. Post a bit about your thoughts on what you've done so far. Post the answers to these questions on your blog.

  • Do you feel this six weeks was successful for you? Why or why not? How did your work ethic affect this?
-I do think this six weeks was successful to me, because i actually learned how to do more stuff and it helped me have a little bit more of experience with both illustrator and photoshop for my main projects. My work ethic did effect effected this a little bit... In class ive been working like this since the beggining of the school year this is why  i cant really tell the difference but i do know that somehow it did effect it in a good and bad way...
  • Of the two major projects we worked on this six weeks (typography & game design), which did you prefer? Tell me about your thoughts on why.
- Of the 2 projects we worked on this six weeks i liked typography the most  because since i like art the most that was something i could  enjoy. Even though it was a little bit of hard work i managed to get through with it with a positive attitude.

  • For both of these projects, you were able to choose which software you wanted to use. What did you work most in? Why did you choose this software? Was this choice based on what you preferred to use, or what you thought would work best on this project? After completing it, do you think you'd use the same software if you could go back and begin it again?
- For the typography i used photoshop because it had layers and it had some effects that could help me disort my text, warp and do many more things. And for my game design project i used illustrator because i was familiar with using the shapes and for this i really didnt neeed layers or effects on my text. But i still dislike something about both of the softwares. In photshop many layers accumulate and its harder to find something when you have a combination of many things. In  illustrator idont like how it doesnt have a paint bucket to paint your background. Also it doesnt have effects on the text like photoshop. If i were to go back i thing i would try to channge to photoshop and find tutorials for making shapes on photoshop.

  • -What is something you've done or learned this six weeks that you think you may be able to use beyond this class and how?
- Something i learned this six weeks is the effect that typography can produce. I learned that its way more than just words. Artist use typography to explain feelings toward a subject that was something that impacted me and once you look beyond the picture therre are more things than just words, similar to a painting...
